If it's not quite right when the time comes, bring it over and we'll help finish it up.....
I have about 1,000,000 candlepower in my hut.
I have a few diagnostic tools that might be helpful to tuners.
A Fluke tach and D-socket to set up the pilot circuit on Keihin carbs
I also have a IR thermometer....this is a great tool to detect unseen problems.
A scenario....10 Rucks leave together and make the same ride and then stop.
On checking the final drives, 6 show about the same temp, 2 show 20 degrees cooler and 2 show 30 degrees hotter.
There are several important lessons to be learned from this?
I have to work Mon, Tues and Wed morning, but will be off from noon Wed forward.
Any of those still coming Wednesday afternoon, you're welcome.....we have nothing planned for the early arrivals but we'll find something to do.
Vince and Chris will arrive Thursday afternoon at 2-3pm. That means there's time for a Thursday morning ride for the early arrivals?
This is the idea behind the cell phone contact list.
Before you leave you, let someone on the list know your expected arrival time....
that way no one has to set around the hotel or campsite waiting all day while other are out riding.
If you're camping, that contact will be me. If you're staying at the hotel, the contact will be Vince or Chris.
Anyone arriving at the hotel early, like Wednesday, should probably let Glenn (DubG) know so we can get you familiar with the route from the Battleground out to my place....the sooner someone at the Hotel learns this route, the fewer escort/guide trips by locals will be needed later on.
One last thing....I'll modify my Wireless AP to broadcast the SSID and will set up an outside antenna.
The campers will have free Wireless Internet....from the wilderness.
