Post subject: Offering beautiful young girls for ELECTRICAL HELP:[
PostPosted: Tue Jun 19, 2012 11:58 pm
Okay so I have a few good looking young teenagers I am willing to part with to those who help me fix my electrical issues.

Basically earlier this day, I bought some connectors at autozone to redo my tail light and turn signal wiring, made everything well done (before it wasnt so well done since I didnt have connectors or soldering gun but I NEVER had issues), had a 100 mile cruise (hit a bump and my right turn signal wasnt working but didnt think anything of it) and on the way home at 12pm I was just cruising and my headlight shut off and it was pitch black.

My brake light worked, my electric start, turn signals but my gas gauge and speedometer light/headlight didnt work.

Fuses blew, so I actually just had my friend lead to walmart in his car, replaced fuses and when leaving the second I turned my high beam on my fuses blew again.

I took off my metros front headlight cover and found a loose wire, put electrical tape around it just to get me home and fixed fuse and tested to see if I could use high beam, boom, fuse blew:/

Could someone please help?

the first thing i would do is double check your wiring. You said it was working before you did anything, so use that as a baseline and trace your steps back. I bet somewhere along the line, you hava crossed wires. It's not easy to blow fuses on a stock harness unless you goofed something, at least in my experience.

Btw, i'll take mor 18 year old or older girls please. :banger:

Hmm, so it only happens when you hit the high beams eh?

The hi-beam circuit is pretty short and simple. It begins coming out of the left-hand control switch (dark blue wire) and runs to the front headlight connector (dark blue again). It also splits off and runs to the hi-beam indicator lamp (dark blue once more). I recommend checking out the indicator light first, unplug its connection and see if the harness pops another fuse when you hit the high beams. Then do the same with the headlight connector. If the problem persists, post back here.

You offering free shipping on the girl, or is this a local pickup deal?

I double checked all my wiring, I did not even touch anything close to where the highlight would be:[

Okay so I just realized the one thing I did was plugged in my indicator switch do you think that was the issue?

I unplugged the turn signal indicator, i never touched anything regarding the headlight setup which is why I am confused.

I looked for any issues in the hand controls, didnt see anything followed the line down and saw that when I was full lock the wire was being slightly pinched up against the plastics it was OEM zip tied to the handle bars so I mean it prob has been doign that since I bought it, cut open the rubber wire loom and checked for damage on the dark blue wire, saw none.

Followed it down to the plug, plug was 90% clipped (wasnt fully clicked but i noticed it wasnt loose), plugged it in <--- this was only thing i found on the front end that scared me, the back end i never touched any of the headlight setup wires. I jsut bought this scooter a month ago so havnt had issues at all up untill today, I never touched anything wire wise that didnt need to be fixed and never unplugged anything that was high beam associated.

unplugged indicator and it didnt blow a fuse! (so far)

So whats this mean? That the problem was somewhere between the plug for indicator and the actual indicator itself?

OR does it mean that the problem can be anywhere the indicator just freed up enough power so when the actual problem happens it dosnt blow the fuse?

I would also recheck the rear tail light make sure wire connections are all good and wires are connected correctly (check against wiring diagram) make sure all wire insulation is in tact use tape for exposed wires and your on your way to correcting the problem...
