Tom- I'm sorry brother but I would actually try the casserole dish. I'm not a complete hater of the viennas.

Hey Tom, ever think of going here? http://www.fatimashrine.com/It's around the Buffalo NY area. May be a good way to wrap up the trip before you roll back into the 'Burgh. Looks like it may fit in pretty well with your heart shaped route, too. It's a beautiful place. My parents go here at least once a year. I was there many years ago. It's a profoundly spiritual experience.

Heated Vienna Sausages taste like metal soup cans OK buddy.....done deal. Im making that tomorrow. unfortunately, I totally agree with the metallicky before and aftertaste. I think the key might be the spicy heat. Maybe it will burn my taste buds enough to only gag on the consistency of the viennas and not the flavor. Will post after. Wish me luck.

Elite1, I have never been there but it looks awesome. I will add it to my itinerary! I have been to Medjugorje in Bosnia-Hertzagovinia though...a life changing experience. http://www.medjugorje.orgIn my life I have found positive ways to deal with this...I am very fortunate to not have fallen into drugs, alcohol, or other destructive things to deal with the pain. I know many survivors who have had terrible, destructive bouts because the pain is too great to deal with...I consider myself blessed and fortunate that I have always been able to handle it in positive ways...spiritual focus, hobbies, exercise, counseling, etc. NEVER for a second do I take that blessing for granted. In all, I am very happy with the way I turned out...I am very thankful.

The only ingredients I question are the 2 cans of tomato sauce and 2 cans of viennas. How does that get the macaroni and chili to bind into a casserole consistency? As a cook for a long time, I can honestly tell you that I have no idea in the flavor department what this will resemble and that is killing my curiosity. Some of the stuff sounds good and some of it sounds wrong. That and the fact that I can do a casserole dish experiment for $4. I just hope I don't blow an O ring the following morning. And as last will and testament and all TR folk as witnesses, I leave my 2006 GET and my 2003 GY both to Tom in the event that I dont survive the vienna casserole experiment.
