Update!!
So Ruckout was dope. Bike made the ride plus the 60 miles after.
Bike mobs out pretty well.
But my engineering was sub par. The bunny ears of the killer scooter mount did not have a solid connection to the crossframe and created mount play, and crazy engine bounce. Had to make a trip to my welder

Told him what i needed, and he did what i needed.
Same spes as Ruck, or pretty much necessary angle needed

Image

Set myself up with RPM 9 Spoke! with Dunlop Rubber.
Image :banger: :banger:

Shorty exhaust, the long exhaust just stuck out way too crazy. should look legit with the body panels. :D

Going to get the spacers for the RPM this weekend and mount my speedometer magnet as well.
Time to get cruisin..... :prophead

CTBMAGIC:

I see you installed the Password:JDM Footpegs and kickstand. Is this bolted onto a portion of the frame that is still the stock Metropolitan? Or is that portion converted over to Ruckus parts?

The right side is easy, drill a hole in the stock rear frame, install right peg with nut/bolt.

Left side fits onto the frame after some grinding to rear frame, in addition to the hole i cut for nut/bolt. I took off about a 1/4 inch of frame, the side closer to the rear.

All met parts, just a matter of grinding the left side of the rear frame. :banger:

I still want some rear pegs but still have concerns about how far they will stick out (or not stick out) past the stock floorboard side plastics. Have you mounted the white plastics yet or are you leaving them and the floorboard off?

Check out the first post of this thread, theres a good picture with the plastics on.
I have put about 1k miles on the scoot with pegs, and they are comfortable for me.
I am 6', 160, i sit plenty fine on the met with me far back on the seat and feet on the pegs.
my .02 cents, go for it!!! 8)

On to more serious matters, waiting for my two brothers exhaust strap/clamp to arrive, the old one snapped near the bolt

Noticed a large amount of doo-doo under the engine, more than usual.

Took the cooling shrouds off, super filthy, no pic of it filthy, but you can see grime on the cloth. (i was going to say rag, but that dirrrty) :o

Image

this was coverd in grime, I was curios to find the leak

Image

Found the son of a betch.
Between cylinder and casing i believe. :headbashing:

Image

Wellllllllllllll,
I have another gy6 that is gonna get the bbkit.

Here it is, waiting on the shipment.
Im excited to put together a big bore.
Any suggestions on making the seals tight when i rebuild? Hondabond and no gasket? Duct tape?? :wasted:

Im losing sleep (not really actually, just a phrase) over the idea of making mine into a rucktro, metruckus, hybrid beast.

My problem is i shouldve gone shortcase gy6 with a short mount to put it on the sleeper/stock looking but busts wheelies Met, That would've been legit!!! but i went another route and went looong.

So now that ive gone long with the killer mount, i should try the metruck.

Looking for suggestions/just thinking and typing.

Squirrel!!!!
