so i know im being really lazy by asking you guys and not browsing thru the forums but im having a bad day and just wanted to see if anyone knew about this....so im going way over my top speed down a pretty big hill, (you guys on the cinco ride remeber this) and it bogs out again and my carb flooded, engine died then started it again and would only rev to about 3000 rpm then it would flood again and die, friend of mine said it was flooded and that the float in the carb needs to be put adjusted...he's pretty good with dirtbikes but didnt have the time to start messing with it. so my question is this...does it sound to you guys like i flooded it? if so is it pretty easy to open up the carb and fix the float? thanks sorry for the long post

The carb is really easy to pull apart. Do you know what size jets you're running? If you pulled it off a stock GET and put it on the BB you'll need to rejet. I have the same carb on my scoot.

float is easy to adjust
if you study it you will see the part to either press down or up to make the float sit higher or lower

but I dont think you can flood it like you think, because you should have a drain line for the bowl that should dribble out the extra fuel
usually you can drain it by climbing a super steep hill or I guess going down a steep hill depending on the direction the carb sits to how the float works

also if you think about it going downhill all the fuel in your tank is forced forward, and your outlet is in the rear of the tank
so you could of been low on fuel because of that too

your bike may be able to run for a min or two just on the fuel in the bowl alone but once that goes out then thats it

So I noticed that fuel is running into the intake, I searched and couldn't find any sold facts. I just cleaned the carb and everything...could the float be set incorrectly and the bowl has too much fuel in it?
