mertech i recall you had a bike a year or two ago with mags on it that looked pretty sick. . .the murdered out one with grey badges I believe?

Thanks, man. I kept all the bolt on crusty parts. All in all- for under 3k, reg'd and insured for a year, its a sweet bike. I've been doodling it on scrap paper for years haha. This was all about keepin it stock on the exterior, and massaging the interior, the frame. I have another sr with pc'd wheels and the old cast aluminum doesn't like pc that much. Little dimples appear randomly... The best thing for an old crusty bike is Simple Green. Bathe it in the stuff. It has a slight etching compound in it, and it takes away the white aluminum oxidization. It'll make a shiny motor matte, as well.
