Anyone have any good Ruckus routes from Tacoma to Portland? What about Portland to L.A.? Please help. Thanks.

No, if I remember right, the prez of the SBC thought Tacoma blew balls and wanted no part of riding down there. Kinda why I was asking, cause I am going to be riding down there. But thanks for yer help Dan. Yeah I got no death wish until I can GET out of Snohomish County and see America. And i'm gonna be traveling on a GET down the west coast in Oct/Nov.

Wow west coast on a GET? Brave :highfive: not trying to be a dick about it.its just don't ride super long ways and we on THIS forum all swap out gy which to me would be more fun, though less dependable.
Cheers and good luck Rusty

So henry.....is that just for Heathen GY's or for GY's in general? Cuz I was wondering how to weigh the 2. I want to make the trip on a GY, but i'm not sure of dependability. I know I will need to hop on a highway or 2 at some point and want that power.

I hear ya duder. Sorry for GETn off topic, but I wanted to grab the Heathen ears and all their friends who hang in here, hoping someone could PM me some sneaky routes. I guess it makes sense tho now. Why worry about route planning for a ruckus when you can ride any limit on a GY. :ucrazy: I never really thought about it until now. Sorry. I have been mapping out some routes of my own, but not sure until im there. Another reason why I would like to go GY for the trip. No worrying about routes as much. Hmmmmm. :dubious:

Could I realistically put 200 miles on a GY, everyday for 2 months straight? If so, how often would you do an oil change?

GY6 would be way better on ANY hills. You wouldn't have as many vehicles runnin' 'up your ass'....... :meh: At that rate you might wanna change oil fairly often. Usually one long ride would be enough reason, maybe once a week if you're thrashin' it.

OK. That makes sense. I have my GY completed and running, but I gotta fine tune my dial-a-jet. I also want to add on a small red wagon sized trailer I can attach somehow like the dude on TR thats doing the charity ride right now. Hey man I appreciate the advice.

rusty i feel if you have any solid running gy6 it will do fine.... ive planed on running my 180 to cali ill do it in 2days. people think because its air cooled you can run in it. if your gear right nd running good that motor is designed to run air cooled.. i ran a big a very big air cooled vw motor in cali everyday i drive hard never had a prob it to is meant to be cool by air... heres the big thing. you know your bike if you can ride around and dont have any probs then fuck it ride it. i know my bike and i know it would make it no prob.
i would do a oil change half way. youll have more of a gas prob then anything
