1203 miles and that many oil changes :S you probably wanna quit that, try like once every 2500, and just checks before long journey... Have you checked rollers? Can you define the loss in Revs? does it go full Revs then down or is it just a lower maximum? have you got a CDI installed? Is it just in the wet or dry as well that it loses Revs? My Zoomer loves water... lol, just not when I try to go round corners

MT-03Ben wrote: Hi, All It's been a longtime hope your all well? I have a problem with me engine after getting caught in a heavy downpour my engine is losing revs when applying full throttle. It idles fine, battery / plug is fine and all leads seem connected. Air filter is abit dirty but I've seen worst. oil level is correct. No f1 blinking when turning on. I know from reading past posts these bike don't seem to like water! If anyone could help me that would be great.
(The bike has only done 1203 miles and just changed the oil for 7th time. It has no plastic floorboard, mudguards or indicators on board.)
TY. Sounds like it could be getting too much air and the ECU is struggling to keep up. Maybe have a look at all your air intakes?

ok lets think about this..... are you hitting max speed with max revs then its blipping on WOT? If so thats your rev limiter preventing engine damage, if you have a cdi (even tho to my knowledge its technically not a cdi) you can increase the rev limiter therefore hit higher revs and get more speed out of it. Does it lag on WOT (wide open throttle) climbing through the range or only at top speed/top revs. In order to fault find a list of engine mods would help eg. cdi, variator, exhaust etc. hit me up via pm if you want more one on one help I find its more of a humidty issue they have, if youve got the stockair box this shouldnt be an issue but i would check the thin rubber tubes going into it to check for cracks, leaks etc. as dampness in the PCV cant be good. Also look for other holes leading into the airbox (not the main air feed at the bottem) as this could allow damp in. You should have , main air intake on the bottem, one tube from the head of engine for oil vapor, and one going into the PCV to flow air through the crankcase. Cant remeber the rest but il check when i get home. You could open your airbox and check for water residue if you even think there is any take off the outside panel and the filter and leave them indoors "near" a radiator to thoughrly dry them out. If you do this try and plug the hose between the throttlebody and the airbox to stop dust etc. coming into the open pipe, i use a soft rag or cling film and an elastic band. ZDD - Zoomer Doctor Dave

Is there a fuel filter on this bike I had a look could not see one.
It was all going good until that rain! The bike is stock minus all the plastic and indicators. ty. There is a huge fuel fliter inside the tank, but I doubt that is your problem. But you might have water in your tank if you say that is was standing outside in the rain. When you remove the plastics, the key hole on the tank is not water tight.
