Are you still using the rollers it came with? If so, switch it out to the sliders and you should gain some more rpm's in the low - mid range. This was told to me directly from Jason. Give it a try. Hope it helps

I've been rocking the Dr. Pulley sliders that came with the package since day 1. I have a Stage6 roller kit (5.5-7.0) that I'm going to play around with today just to get an idea of how light I should go. I also just cleaned out everything in the tranny case and my clutch pads were glazed like mirrors! This was the initial clean up after break in, so my guess is that all the belt dust (which was alot) made it's way into the clutch bell and hurt the performance some.

After cleaning, the mid range is now just as potent as the rest of the band, but I still need to bump the RPM's up a tad. I'm going to throw the boss that came with the Slick in to see how much top it will take away, if any. Even before anything was broken in the acceleration was better than my current setup, but I couldn't get a good read on the top end yet.

Okay nice. A buddy of mine swears by the 5.5g weights. He gets nice acceleration and didn't seem to lose any top end. Let us know what you come up with

I have the Polini with 5.5 Dr sliders.
135lbs and haul ass. I like the 5.5gms the most. I was the fastest at our last shootout! I think I topped out at 49mph on flat.?
Can't remember exactly, but I would let people pull in front of me, roll on the throttle and catch right up with them.
I love this combo!

With only rollers in there I shoot from a stop like my KN did and still am able to get past the bubble on a flat! My hill climbing has improved as well. The only real hill here I used to lose 5-10mph (wind dependent) and now I keep my speed. It almost cleared the weird 30mph downshift, but it's hardly noticeable now. I plan on screwing with some shaved 5.7g's next week cuz the top end seems a tiny bit longer to hit max. This variator has quickly won my trust! All the peeps that have ridden with me for the last two weeks are seriously considering converting from their Polini's. :lol:

I Speed Slick is approaching, so I can chime in engine performance, everything except a big hole. I'm going to pick up the CVT second test next month, once I broke this guy.

the BSS website has changed inventory status from "sold out at this time" to "ships week of 6/13" :banger:

not sure if this means shipping to them or shipping to us... prob the latter. either way im just glad to see something else when i obsessively check the website :headbashing:

Hello,

I just received this kit today with the dr.pulley roller sliders. (I put all the dr.pulley sliders in there) Acceleration is working as hoped, however, once the scooter gets to 65km/hr or so (40mph), the engine sounds like it's over revving and won't go any faster. Did I do something wrong? Oh yeah I did this on a straight road and a downhill. Both the same result. The engine sounds like it's over revving and won't go any faster. Any suggestions?

Did you use the new boss or the stock boss?
If you used the new one, it is longer and gives lower top end.
Try the stock one.
