Well I organized the shed and made room to start a project I have somehow aligned... Front frame is actually from my very first ruckus. It has changed hands a few times, but has found its way back to me. There's a hole in of the front left side from an accident that happened before I ever bought it. (I had owned it for months before discovering it removing the plastics.) I hope its repairable, but either way, the build begins (soon.) While I'll update my other build thread (which corresponds to my daily driver) as I work on it, This will be happening in the background. :banger:

Pictures of front frame damage will go here. Would love to hear from people who know welders who can work with aluminum

EDIT, my dumb ass forgot to take a before picture, but you can kind of see the hole in this after picture

Just ordered a bunch of parts. Frame extension, hmf exhaust, NCY disc wheel, and have a line on a front end I have been drooling over for a while.

Yeah the only thing that touches is the rubber boot over the bleed nipple. It's close, but the rest of it clears

Breaking down a motor for this piece by piece, and cleaning everything. Thanks to a great series of videos on youtube by DIOspeeddemon, I have a virtual walkthrough about how to break it down and for that I am forever thankful. Shop manuals are great but only offer so much in the way of workable info for people who aren't already mechanics. Here are some nasty before pics

Yes sir. I am lucky enough to have a beater to ride while I take my time on this. I try to do a little here and there each day I have off. Today I picked up a huge jug of purple power and some cleaners. I was working on it in a plastic tub in the house and wifey started complaining about the fumes. "Never in a million years would I think you'd be cleaning an engine in the HOUSE" lol..

It's kind of hard for me to believe this is even the same motor, but I did it myself, so I know. Still a good amount of work to be done, especially in the nooks and crannies but I figured an update was warranted. I understand many of you have built and rebuilt many engines but this is the first one I've even done so for me, it's kind of a big deal.
