Hey, thanks man!! Glad you like it and can see all the work that has been
put onto it! :highfive: Can't wait for it to be completed myself - it's been
too long. Yes, this bike was definitely going to stay as reliable as possible;
but let's be honest the life length probably has been slimmed down a bit
due to all under the hood mods. But what do I care! :banger:

I'd call it a curse, like Greg(MNNTHBX) I can't leave things that bug me alone,
haha.

--
Oh and about the DORF problem; this is nothing anyone should be worried
about since it's probably 1/1.000.000 probability to happen and it has not
happened anyone else! Greg offered to send me new pins without even
charging shipping.

I'm just hoping that new pins will fix it.

I have tried to search after a guide on how to install the Acewell gauge, but failed. Does anyone have a clue?

I have trouble to understand where to join the single yellow wire(rev meter).

Also I'm not sure if my speed sensor is correct...how should it look like?

Hey man,

The rev-meter lead goes to the coil. There may be a small "adapter" that allows you to "piggy-back" the spade connection on the coil, or the wire is wrapped around the lead going to the spark-plug. Wrap tight 6-7 times and tape up to secure, do the wraps by the coil.

Not sure what the speed sensor looks like, but should be a magnetic sensor which picks up the three small magnets that are dropped in the rotor-bolts. Any photos? Fitted an Acewell on another guy's Zoomer ages ago, worked ok in the end. Not sure where we got permanent and switched power from though??

Regards the indicator and hi/low beam lights etc you can trap the coloured wires from Acewell in the specific connector at cluster below the handlebars. These will then light-up on the Acewell dash.

Hope that helps.

Hey,

Thanks for your help and insight! I was wondering what that naked, kinda long wire with a little...
pill like thing in the middle was. I'm guessing it is the 'adapter' top piggy back the spade
connection on the coil, or that other solution you mentioned.

The speed sensor looks like this:
Image
And I weren't sure what the other tiny spacers and another bolt which looked suspicious just lying in
a tiny sealed plastic bag.

Yesterday, I also got the indicators work for the turn signals - the problem was that I connected the
wires from the speedo into the + on the turn signals, they were supposed to be connected to. (-) aka.
ground. Weird, but true.

By accident I found this, which may well help out anyone else trying to install this sensor system.

I found out that the permanent power to only make the clock show when the bike isn't running is by
connecting it straight to the (+) on the battery. The switched power should be connected to one of the
two wires coming out of the key ignition assembly (or w/e it's called), in my case it was the red with a
green line in it.

What about the low fuel sensor? Do I HAVE to get one of those Metro fuel sending units, or can it work
just like the original one on the bike?

Hi,

Yes the item in the photo is to be attached to forks, near the brake caliper. Set close to the rotor bolts to pick up the magnets (inserted in rotor bolt heads) as they spin/pass by. Then set-up wheel circumference and the option for three magnets on the meter.

You do not fit Met sender (you have FI tank, so it will not fit). If you have removed the stock water/fuel lights then maybe find the connections for both and chose a suitable light on Acewell. Same for FI start-up light that was on stock speedo.

Awesome, thanks! Although I really think it's a huge bummer that the Met sender won't work on a FI Zoomer. Do you have any idea if the FI lamp will constantly stay on if you have plugged out one of the connectors near the actual FI-assembly on the motor?

Thanksss! But I still feel I could have done it much better, firsts are seldom perfect. Thanks for
helping me out with some stuff! :wanker: :highfive:

Been on a prowl - looking for 8mm lug nuts, guess what? There isn't any. Although I found these
oversized nuts in the same gold as my ATR rear shock! Now to just get myself some studs and put
them on my rear wheel.

Got most of the indicators working now - Only 2 things left and they are probably a lot easier than
I think.

Tried on my chin bone and it looks great. can't wait to see it from the side. Also fixed my DORF seat
frame and it's even sturdier now. Some write up on how I did it will be here later.

Thanks! :) :wanker:

Having big problems with the exhaust progress. I know that I want
something that has to be quiet and that points out a little to the right
to compensate for the left side throttle body and all that. I have done
some mock up's but I'm not sure if I'm ready to show any...very very
difficult decision.

Any easily browsable sites with exhaust's?

Ordered the NAD.Guard v2.0 from Justforrucks and uh, it's a 3 week wait for it to come in.
Not going to use the fuel sensor on the Acewell since apparently the EU Zoomer can't fit a
Metro fuel sending unit into it. Sucks. Going to use the original lights and do my own bracket.

Who says a metro sender can't fit? You've done tons of custom mods so far why not try one more?
