Aren't NCY shocks 1 inch longer than stock shocks?

I don't think so, and if they aren't as low as you'd like you can take the springs out and cut some coils off to make em even lower. I did mine with no noticeable difference in the way the feel .

Cool, if I get them u wanna do mine? LOL

And secondly, I'm really losing my patience with this build. Noticed today that my Daytona shock is rubbing my tire a little bit.............. and there is no real way to correct it. :pissed:

I'd do it, simple job really. isn't the Daytona pretty thin? What fatty mount are you using?

I have the one that Mertech sells. Its a 10x5 with a Pirelli 130/90/10 Its not touching, but when I go over a bump or the tire heats up, It will rub for sure! The shock is your typical all chrome Daytona..........

I wonder if I could put washers in front of the hub to bump it out a bit? hmmmmmm, what do u guys think?

All I need is a 1/8 of a inch so I don't think it will be that bad.

I wouldn't want to put a spacer in there and risk f'ing up the bearings or pushing the wheel off center. A stretched tire won't really expand too much when it gets heated up. I'd either test it out as is, and if there's still any issue while riding it then shop for a slimmer or more offset shock.

You could also switch to a 120/90/10 to get back some room. I have seen a few 5" wheels on here running that tire.

I'm going to try it out and see what happens.

It's getting there! I'm shooting for 2nd week of April. I had a client bounce a huge deposit check on me so I need to watch my acct and not splurge on anything till that situation gets cleared up.
