Post subject: Some updates to my Honda APE
PostPosted: Thu Dec 18, 2008 10:03 am
Well its started, as always i can never leave alone with my bikes and ive started modding out the APE.

Just added some OVER Racing wheels, rearsets, swingarm and a Ohlins shock to my APE. Ill soon be adding some KSR forks once they are back from getting re anodized in black. So the fronts still the stock setup for now. Big ups to Battlescooter for getting me another set of the dunlop TT92s.

The APE completely railed as it was but its limiting factor was really the suspension and ground clearance. The pegs would scrape constantly in the turns. These changes should really help out on the street and track.

I know there's no disk brake on it yet, im still waiting on that from Japan. It should be finished up by the end of Jan i my hope.

OVER was nice enough to add G-craft Paddoc hooks on their swingarm for us.

Beefie!

Ide say these were the most needed parts, My stock footpegs ground in the turns constantly.

This next month waiting for the rotors to show up is going to be a long one. Good thing i have the holidays to keep me busy.

Here is a shot of the forks torn down, we are sorting out some stiffer spring applications as well and adding some preload adjusters.

I drooling right now. I want one! The ape seems to be such a well balanced bike as far as engine size and ride height. Do you think you could take a pic with you sitting on it. Or a action shot would be sweet.

I assume you imported these?

Anyway, AWESOME bikes.

The ape seems like just the right size.

Your pics are so blingtacular that they make my eyes hurt. Nice parts.
