picked up a met from evil-step-ruckus(hope he doesn't mind borrowing his pic) last month. i've always been enamored with the looks of the met(thanks to undertheradar's gy6 met) and mod-friendliness of the ruckus. i had a ruck 2-3 years ago, which really got me familiar with the in's/out's do's/dont's of a GET. that being said...here's my lame "looky what i got" pic the day i picked her up. already has: ruck swingarm, polini variator/belt, posh cdi, blue clutch springs, Daytona shock, 120 bopper rear & some aesthetic parts. pulled off: cupholder, frame brace, bowls rad cover, bar end mirrors, stock flywheel so far i've added/installed/changed: atr g2 disc front end BSS lightened flywheel hardwired cig charger, black MPAB, 6k hid, stock -> yoshi trc -> stock(daytona/stinger type wanted) speedo bulb to red(not using the speedo now, but it's just a comforting nightlight that looks good from afar) red takegawa rad cover, matching oil cap, stage 6 kickpedal before after 6k hid plans include: daytona drag exhaust & pe20(both 2b installed tomorrow) variator change(scooter ninja or zero racing) matching rear dio(2 b installed) wheel color change & whitewalls(real or painted), ditch the red grips for all black- memory foam seating, turn signal swap & brushed aluminum tanax knockoff mirrors. wouldn't mind having fork reservoirs & calipers painted(black & red respectively). when i get bored, maybe a white drag bar setup. once i'm done tinkering, i'll touch up all the paint. =O) noticed i'm hitting the limiter on my posh unlimited cdi. so either i reconnected it back wrong, or the cdi is burning out. don't have access to a tach to check as of yet. anyone wanna chime in on the lone green/black wire there in the center? could that be my culprit? found my main harness disconnecting under the pinch of the seat also which i think i have rectified now. so for now, this is where i'm at. S/O to famicomdisk, intel@bowls, arunto and trent_77590 for putting up with a few dumb girl questions. I really appreciate it.

update... still tuning =( went back to all my bookmarked carb recipes for reference: a la smartbomb, racerx, ConElite, strokd_GE, 14HueJass... also keeping in mind yoshimura's "prescription" for a 92 jet with the daytona exhaust. so far, no success. changed plug(mine was wet and jet black) to a fresh new ngk... tried smartbomb's 50 pilot recommendation...to no avail. although, i do not have a main below 80, so perhaps that's part of the problem. [*]35/80 kicked on, white smoke from exhaust...didn't seem to burn off but didn't let it run too long that way. [*]38/80 only kicked over first try but wouldn't stay on thereafter. [*]50/92 not a chance can't get the screws off the stocker carb(they're stripped) to see what it was running beforehand. if it drives me crazy enough, i'll drill them out and find out. maybe i can hit up tim tebow to put in a good word for me. after fiddling with the last "try", noticed fuel stopped pumping all the way to the top of the fuel line/down the carb. siphoned it up to the top, but even though it's clicking, i don't see it topping off. maybe i'll need that fuel pump after all. electric start/cdi stopped clicking with the start button so i dug around on the fusebox and thought maybe my hid had burned out the swing or starter relays. was able to source the starter relay today so i'll replace it and see what happens. can't be too precautionary. so for now- carb still [not] tuned / bike won't turn over(elec. or kickstart - and fuel not priming totally to the carb) hid started to whine and then cut off...i'm also gonna try wiring a 40amp fuse and see if maybe that will help stabilize the hid(not getting any flicker, etc..) I have tried both the h4 socket /relay upon relay route and running direct from the battery route. i see people mention this might drain the battery but if the bike(and the headlight) isn't on, how much drain could it possibly do? luckily i have a stanley battery tender(from lowes ftw!) to keep the battery topped off just in case. anyone know which wire is truly which: green/blue/white...i've combed and no one has mentioned this at all.
still not sure if cdi is toast. since power was tapped through the swing relay(on top of the fusebox), i'm hoping maybe the relay went bad causing the cdi to stop working/resulting in me hitting the limiter at 42. something i wasn't doing before. too bad there's no other way to perform wideband tuning without hacking/welding your exhaust =( but - got my new grips from dorby put on and have a lithium ballistic battery on the way. wanna get this thing running so i can worry about less important things...like painting the wheels any insight is greatly appreciated.
