So I've been wanting to ride up to Montgomery, NY and go see the OCC shop. I saw the old one years ago but never have I been to the new one. At the same time I'd like to check out PJD and Wolfgang Studios. I've lost some interest in the show over the years but still think this would make a great ride destination. I like Mikey and Jr and would love to meet them. As a father I really don't understand Sr. and how he speaks so poorly of his son(s). After all don't we all want our children to be better then us??

The plan is to cross the GWB and head up 9W. If anyone would like to meet us at the Englewood Diner, 54 Engle St, Englewood, NJ, we could stop there on the way up. We'll cruise up to 17K, in Newburgh, then take that straight across. If anyone else would like to come and knows nicer roads I'd love for them to take the lead. On the way back I figure we cross Newburgh-Beacon Bridge then head down one of the 9's along the water.

Long Island meeting

Ok all Nassau and Suffolk county Long Islander scooterists, I'll be meeting Mike on the service road at the glen cove rd exit. On the west side, corner of glen cove rd and the LIE service road there is a gas station where we'll meet. We'll leave the gas station at 8 to head to the Georgia Peach Diner.

If you have an ezpass for the scooter don't forget to bring it.

Queens Meetup

So far it looks like ride will begin from Georgia Peach Diner on 86-55 Queens Blvd., Queens, NY 11373 and leave at 9. If you'd like to have breakfast arrive earlier. I may be riding out LIE and/or the service road and picking up others. There is an active thread on the NYSC forum http://www.nyscooterclub.com/forum/view ... 19&t=17751 where people are going to come in from Brooklyn and Queens.

So, who can get off during the week??

What a day!! We met in Queens and hung out there until almost 11 to let the storm pass that was over us. Couple of drizzles but nothing the rest of the day. Fern led great to GW over then around to that park under the bridge. Up 9W onto 218. That road was beautiful. It seems that someone must have know the rest stop that we stopped at because there was a sign welcoming the New York Scooter Club.  I'm dying to know who put it there. Cary and Fern were having a competition as to who could leave more crap along the way. I think Cary won with 5, or was it 6, bathroom breaks?? We got up to OCC and I actually met Rick. He was outside looking at someone's car. He even patted me on the back. When I told him we were from the island he told me there was a tornado on the way and we should head back. We then went over to PJD for a few pics. From there we decided to head home and not push our luck with the weather anymore. Mike led us back at the 200L of his really moves. I think we were doing 80 at one point. Great meeting Alessio. Beautiful Burg he has.

We'll do this ride again.

Pics will follow.
