Hey Em, did you realize this is the same weekend as cruising OC? My dad mentioned it to me that he'll be down there and I realized it's the same weekend. Everyone should book rooms early.

SON OF A B!!!! It just got posted to the official events list.

I'm more inclined to push it forward to May 13-15 then. I really don't want to compete with cruisin weekend. It would be fun but there is more traffic in town for sure. Honestly though, Im not planning on any in town riding. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Room rates are pretty cheap for both weekends either way. Availability may be an issue though.

This is the place I thought we could all stay at. 2 miles from my office on the same main street. Waterfront cottages. $99-$120 a night. We would still have to book up early. http://www.castawaysrvoc.com/

I agree last year was a nightmare with all the traffic. The first weekend of Cruise fest is always the worst cause everyone has cabin fever and want to show off their winter builds.

Speaking of winter builds I guess I need to really get more of my shit together and ship to John so I'm ready for this.

Ugh. The 13-15th is my anniversary weekend. I already cleared the 20-22nd with her to make sure we weren't going away that weekend for it. I'd prefer the 20-22nd if possible. If we aren't going in town much maybe it wouldn't be as bad I dunno....

Castaways looks cool, I'd be fine with that. Let Dave know, as he is the official LANC crew organizer.

im still set on the original dates. I looked around at all the hotel rates and prices are still low. The idea behind getting cabins, either castaways or frontiertown is that we can have a community fire in the evening and some drinks. No need to ruck anywhere at the end of the night.

I'll talk to frontiertown tomorrow and make a final decision on accommodation recommendations.
