I just bought an 04 that had a few things done to it already so i dont know what may have caused this problem as it has been doing this since i got it. I have been working on this for a couple days now.
I dont mind putting in the time to fix this i just need a direction to go at this point i am really frustrated.

Issues:
I have headlights and taillights (running lights)
but no brake lights
no elec start
no blinkers
no horn

("diagnostic finds" lol)
i have no power getting to brake switches
tested brake switches with ohm meter and both are good
no power to horn switch
chased wiring connections via schematics etc as best as i know how...
the ground under bb is good
ground to swingarm is good

SOLUTION

Problem solved!
I followed the wiring schematic in the service manual and found the wire that they all had in common for power,
It is the black wire coming from the fuse box that feeds them all with power.
I took the wiring loom and tape off of the harness and followed the black wire starting at the fuse block.
The wire is split from one wire to 3 wires close to where the harness goes under the front of the gas tank.
the factory connection was corroded and broken. spliced all the wires back together and now i have everything working.

You might need a new relay

are you referring to one of the two black relays or the blue starter relay. i also thought maybe the led control unit?

The flasher relay. My buddy had the same problem, we plugged in the 552 relay, and everything worked again. It's like $6 at any auto parts store.

both fuse ok?

the fuses are good but the flasher relay is out (disconnected), i knew that would not let the signals work but youre saying it affects the brake light and starter as well?

Have you tested if your control switches works? I had a 05 and the switches were bad but I manage to clean it up and it worked ^_^ . Brake light could be the bulb too.
You tested the horn by putting direct power to it?

Oops I guess you did those on the switch.

Since you got the wire schematics then why don't you chase it to where the power stops?

i only know enough to be dangerous with the schematics lol
its an r6 taillight that was installed by the p.o.
i disconnected the taillight and am using a test light on the harness to eliminate the light itself as being the problem
i tested the actual brake switches, they do work BUT there is no power running to either of them.
NEW INFORMATION!
there are two black relays under the bb. the click randomly every so often like you are cutting the ignition off but i put a test light on the ignition wire as it was happening and it didnt go out so that would mean that the ignition isnt faulty, right? (or so i assume). I tried to wiggle wires etc to make the relays do it but i cant seem to create the problem, it only happens when it wants to...that makes me think bad ground ???

WHAT DO ALL OF THESE HAVE IN COMMON FOR A POWER SOURCE??? does the computer control these?
