No 2010 Vino 125 is listed on Yamaha's website (2010 Majesty, Zuma 125&50, Vino Classic 50 and C3 are listed). Anybody know if the Vino 125 is kaput or is this like the Ruckus--no 2010 model until the 2009 backlog is worked thru?

I'm pretty sure it's out.

It's been like that since they updated the 2010 models a few months ago.

I'm pretty sure they would have listed it since they listed all the others.

I heard that there was no 2010 model. From what the dealer in my area told me when I took the Vino 125 for my first test drive, the economy took a toll and no one was buying Vino's anymore (low numbers at least) and Yamaha decided not to make a 2010 model. They reused the 2009 models.

As far as I know in 2008-9, everyone and their mom bought a scooter while gas prices were getting nuts. Then gas prices dropped and people responded by driving their cars again and bam, the buyers dropped. This never made sense to me b/c:

1. Most people buy scooters right out in cash. These buyers don't save money until they save enough in increase gas mileage to cover the cost of the scooter. That could take over a year depending on how they ride! I financed mine and saved money the second month of ownership. I've had it for about 9 months and have only paid $450 (of the $1,500 purchase priced used) into it.

2. You only really save money if you ride the scooter the majority of the time as your primary mode of transportation. I suppose you can save money from otherwise parking fees if you were to drive a car though.

The Vino 125 is a beautiful and affordable scoot!

I would bet that the Genuine Buddy 125/150 series killed the Vino 125 off!

Ah the Buddy's so lame  Seems like a beginner bike IMO. People should support the quality stuff, tho the buddy is good quality- anything less is on the junky side of the spectrum.

the buddy, in my opinion, is much narrower than the vino. and there seems to be much more custom parts and accessories for the vino than the buddy.

at least the vino is still alive in other parts of the world. in asia they are called "Finos." :banger:
