Pretty much the same dimensions as the Kitaco for $8 less, so I thought I'd try it. I'd been pleased with the performance until this morning, when it grenaded on me! Only had a few hundred miles on it. Luckily, nothing locked up, so no harm done. Cleaned up the mess and put my Kitaco back on. And it was quite a mess: -Honest™ Forgive my Noob question, but could saving the drive face be a contributing factor to a belt breaking?

Plenty of people shave their drive face I would assume that KN and Kitaco belt are slightly longer than stock, so shaving the drive face would cause the belt to run higher on the variator(more top speed) and maybe it touched the casing.

I had the Dorby variator, same as scooter ninja, It HATES slides. It ate my slides to the brass in a week. It doesn't like anything with a beveled edge. People say get Doppler rollers. MopedMotion has the in the grand bazaar. I just got a polini variator instead. Flying 54mph on sliders, it loves them. 1+ SN+Sliders=danger
